Juan Negrín Fetter was a writer, visual artist, philosopher, and photographer who dedicated 45 years of his life to research and advocacy in Wixarika territory.
During the time Edwin Forgan Myers spent time living in Bolaños, he made many friends among the Wixárika (Huichol) people. These particular pictures were taken in 1938, in the ceremonial centers of Pochotita and Las Latas in the Community of Santa Catarina and in Tuxpan de Bolaños, Community of San Sebastían.
Joaquín Urrutia holds a bachelors degree in Audiovisual Arts from the University of Guadalajara (2011). He graduated in 2014 from the graduate program in Contemporary Photography and Personal Projects ( Fotografía Contemporánea y Proyectos Personales) at the Center for International Photography and Cinema in Madrid.
