Joaquín Urrutia Partida
Joaquín Urrutia holds a bachelors degree in Audiovisual Arts from the University of Guadalajara (2011). He graduated in 2014 from the graduate program in Contemporary Photography and Personal Projects ( Fotografía Contemporánea y Proyectos Personales) at the Center for International Photography and Cinema in Madrid. During 2021 and 2022, Urrutia documental the biocultural landscapes and spiritual traditions of the San Luis Potosí high plateaus as part of a project directed by Diana Negrín about the threats to Wixarika territory, especially in the sacred place of Wirikuta. Joaquín Urrutia's photographs have been published in Nexos and the Esperanza Project as part of a selection of reports published on the topic.
